Easy Divers

Easy Divers has been a fixture of the Protaras and Ayia Napa diving scene since 2001. As a PADI 5 Star IDC, the centre is well-established, having hosted over 24,000 customers and 11,000 Discover Scuba Diving sessions over two decades of operation.

The centre serves as a primary hub for those looking to explore the clear waters of the Mediterranean, from the vibrant reefs of Green Bay to the more technical wreck dives found near Larnaca. Their location allows for easy access to the diverse underwater topography of the Cape Greco area.

The team consists of 4 professional instructors capable of guiding divers through a wide range of experience levels. They offer instruction in English, German, Polish, and Dutch, ensuring clear communication during briefings and training sessions.

As a 5 Star IDC facility, the centre is equipped to handle professional training, including Divemaster Internships and the PADI Instructor Course. This high level of accreditation means the training standards are held to a rigorous professional benchmark.

The training programme covers the entire PADI spectrum, starting with Discover Scuba Diving for those new to the water. For those seeking certification, they run the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

More advanced divers can pursue specialty training, including Nitrox, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster certifications. The centre also provides the full pathway to professional instruction through the PADI Instructor Course and PADI IDC.

The centre operates the largest dive shop in the local area, stocking a wide range of branded scuba equipment including Mares, SEAC, and Scubapro. This makes it a reliable point for divers needing specific kit or high-quality rentals.

For those not travelling with their own gear, full kit hire is available on-site. Nitrox is provided for divers looking to extend their bottom times or manage nitrogen loading on multi-dive days.

The reefs are home to a diverse array of fish, including schools of seabream (Sparidae), wrasses (Labridae), and various species of damselfish (Pomacentridae). You will often encounter Mediterranean rainbow wrasse (Coris julis), gilt-head bream (Sparus aurata), and two-banded seabream. Larger pelagics such as Tuna (Thunnus), Amberjack (Seriola), and Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) may also be seen passing through the area.

In the rocky areas and near the wrecks, look for more stationary residents like Grouper (Epinephelus), lionfish (Pterois volitans), and various scorpionfish. You might also spot rabbitfish, triggerfish (Balistidae), and cardinalfish (Apogon imberbis) amongst the structure.

For those interested in macro life, the seabed offers plenty of interest. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), and various species of octopus (Octopus vulgaris). Cuttlefish (Sepiidae) and different types of squid are also common, alongside smaller creatures like pipefish and various shrimps.

The environment is supported by a variety of fixed life, including black sponges, golden sponges, and Neptune's beard corals. You will also find tube worms and various ascidians throughout the reef and cave systems.

The diving area around Protaras and Cape Greco offers a variety of environments, from open reef flats to sheltered caves. Divers should be prepared for different underwater topographies depending on the specific site chosen.
