Scuba Tech Diving Centre has been operating in the Protaras area since 2010, establishing itself as a highly professional destination for divers seeking serious training. The local marine life is diverse, with many species found around the reefs and wrecks. You can regularly observe turtles, moray eels, and groupers moving through the habitats. Larger pelagics such as amberjack and great barracuda are also part of the local ecosystem.

On the sandy bottom and around the reef flats, keep a close watch for seahorses and flying gurnards. The rocky structures and crevices often play host to lionfish and various species of nudibranchs.

Macro life enthusiasts will find plenty to look for, including various species of sea squirts, tube worms, and clams that colonise the wrecks and artificial reefs. The presence of many different species of nudibranchs makes the shallower sites particularly interesting for those with a keen eye.

The area is known for excellent visibility, which can reach up to 40 metres. Water temperatures range from a minimum of 16°C to a maximum of 30°C throughout the year.
