Taba Diving Centre Limited

Located in Pernera, Protaras, Taba Diving Centre serves as a primary hub for diving along the diverse coastline of Cape Greco. The centre is positioned to provide access to a wide variety of marine environments, ranging from shallow, calm bays to deeper wreck sites and cavernous formations.

Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or are an experienced diver seeking technical specialties, the centre operates with a focus on small group sizes. Their location allows for easy access to the crystal-clear waters that define this part of Cyprus.

The team consists of 6 professional instructors dedicated to both recreational and professional training. They maintain a strict ratio of no more than 4 divers per guide, ensuring that families or buddy pairs receive tailored attention during their dives.

As a PADI 5 Star centre, the staff is experienced in managing a wide spectrum of diver needs. They offer a multilingual service to assist international divers in navigating their training or exploration.

The training programme is extensive, covering the full PADI progression. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Bubblemaker programme, progressing through Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, and Advanced Open Water.

For those looking to advance their skills or career, the centre offers Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and Assistant Instructor courses. Specialized training is also available, including Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Underwater Navigation, and the Zenobia Diver course. Environmental and specialty training such as Dive Against Debris, AWARE Shark and Ray Conservation, and Digital Underwater Photography are also part of the curriculum.

The local reefs and artificial structures are home to large schools of fish, including Amberjack (Seriola), Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda), and various species of Grouper (Epinephelus). You can also find Rainbow wrasse (Coris julis), various types of seabream (Sparidae), and Jack (Carangidae) patrolling the water column.

Macro life enthusiasts can find Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) and various other sea slugs throughout the area. Look closely at the seabed and reef structures for Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda), and various species of squid.

In the seagrass and reef areas, you may encounter sea turtles and rays. The biodiversity includes a range of smaller inhabitants such as Damselfish (Chromis chromis), Scorpionfish, and various species of wrasses (Labridae).
