The centre operates a large RIB for excursions around the island. These trips take you into the open sea to visit sites like Fish Rock Cave and various reef walls.

The centre provides comprehensive kit hire for your dives. While cylinders and weights are included with your booking, you can rent additional equipment including BCDs, regulators, computers, fins, masks, and torches.

Full kit rental is available for those who prefer not to carry their own gear. For night dives or low-light conditions, torches are available for hire.

The area is famous for sightings of grey nurse sharks and various rays. You may also encounter Leopard sharks (Triakis semifasciata), guitar sharks, and Wobbegong sharks.

During the months of May to October, humpback whales can be seen in these waters. You might also spot Hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna) and various species of stingrays (Myliobatiformes).

On the reef and walls, look for giant Queensland groupers, various species of wrasse (Labridae), and pomfrets. Other residents include bullseye, trumpetfish (Aulostomidae), and various species of snapper and kingfish.

For those interested in macro life, the area hosts various species of nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), octopus (Octopoda), and moray eels (Muraenidae). You can also find decorator crabs, sea pickles, and various types of shrimp.

Diving in this area involves open sea conditions, so be prepared for potential swell. Divers prone to motion sickness should take precautions as trips are conducted in open water.

Due to the nature of the sites, it is highly recommended to use a 7mm wetsuit, gloves, and a hood to stay warm during your dives.
