Diving.de operates two German-run bases in Egypt, with this specific centre situated in El Quseir. Nestled within the lush gardens of the 4* Silver Beach Boutique Hotel, the base sits directly on the water, offering a relaxed and family-oriented atmosphere for your stay.

Positioned roughly halfway between Hurghada and Marsa Alam, the centre is ideally placed to access the best of the Red Sea. You can choose between easy access to a beautiful house reef via a jetty or organised excursions to more remote offshore sites.

The centre is an SSI affiliated dive base with a focus on professional standards and environmentally responsible diving. The team consists of multilingual instructors capable of teaching in both German and English, ensuring clear communication during training and briefings.

For those looking to progress their skills, the centre offers a structured pathway from Discover Scuba Diving through to Divemaster and Master Diver. They also provide specific training such as Sidemount Diving and various SSI Specialty courses to help you refine your technique.

The course catalogue is comprehensive, covering the full SSI spectrum. Beginners can start with Try Scuba, Scuba Diver, or Open Water Diver, while more experienced divers can pursue Advanced Open Water Diver, Stress & Rescue Diver, or the Master Diver programme.

Specialised training is also available, including Enriched Air Nitrox, Sidemount Diving, and the Science of Diving. The centre also runs programmes for younger divers, such as Scuba Explorers and Try Scuba Kids.

For technical or extended diving, Nitrox 32 is available for certified divers. The centre provides professional training facilities, including a dedicated training pool for skill development and classroom space for theoretical sessions.

The house reef and surrounding areas are rich with life, including colourful soft corals, butterflyfish, and angelfish. You will frequently encounter moray eels, reef sharks, and various species of sea turtles.

In the seagrass meadows of Abu Dabab, you can find large sea turtles and rays. If you are lucky, you may also spot a dugong or dolphins (Delphinidae) in the area.

Pelagic sightings are a highlight of the region, particularly at Elphinstone where oceanic whitetip sharks are a major draw. You may also encounter dolphins (Delphinidae) and various species of sharks, including grey sharks, during your excursions.

The best time to visit is between March and May, or from September to November, when the sea is calm and visibility is high. During these periods, visibility can reach up to 50 metres.

Water temperatures typically range between 23°C and 30°C, making it a comfortable environment for most divers throughout the season.
