Infinity Diving Center

Infinity Diving Safari, formerly known as Yalla Diving Safari, is an established diving operation based in El Quseir, Egypt. Founded by divers for divers, the centre has been operating in the Red Sea for over a decade, focusing on high-quality liveaboard experiences and local excursions.

The centre provides a range of diving styles, from daily boat trips departing from the coast to extended multi-day safaris. They maintain a presence in several local resorts, including Mangrove Bay, Onatti Beach Resort, and True Beach Beach Resort, ensuring a smooth transition between your accommodation and the water.

Led by Ali and Jasmin, the team is built on more than 10 years of industry experience. They are a multilingual outfit, with instructors and staff capable of communicating in Arabic, English, German, Italian, and French.

The centre is an SSI affiliated diving operation, offering a structured path for progression. Their commitment to the local environment is evidenced by their participation in regular Clean Up Days to maintain the health of the reefs they dive.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of SSI training programmes. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, progressing through to the Advanced Open Water Diver and the Stress and Rescue course.

For those looking to turn their passion into a career, Divemaster training is available. They also offer various specialty courses, including Nitrox and Wreck diving, as well as Deep diving modules. Advanced skills training is frequently conducted during their liveaboard safaris.

The centre operates two steel safari boats designed for comfort and extended trips. The Amber 1 is a 32-metre vessel with an 8-metre beam and a capacity for 24 passengers. The Hadeer is slightly smaller at 30 metres long, with an 8-metre beam, accommodating up to 22 passengers.

Both boats are equipped for full-service safaris, providing full board, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks on board. For more remote sites, the boats carry zodiacs to facilitate easy access to the reefs. Nitrox is available for those looking to extend their bottom time during these voyages.

For divers choosing shore-based excursions, full kit hire is available, including wetsuits and fins. The centre provides all the necessary equipment for a complete diving setup.

Safety is a priority on all trips, with oxygen security maintained on board. The centre also manages transfers between hotels in El Quseir and the boats for daily excursions.

The marine life in this region is diverse, ranging from large pelagics to delicate reef inhabitants. You will often encounter sea turtles, dugongs, and various species of dolphins (Delphinidae). Large rays and blue-spotted rays are also common in the sandy areas and seagrass meadows.

On the deeper walls and reefs, keep an eye out for tuna (Thunnus), jack (Carangidae), and various snapper (Lutjanus) species. Reef sharks, including the grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), are frequently seen, along with the Napoleon wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus).

The reef itself is a vibrant landscape of soft corals (Alcyonacea) and gorgonians. You can find various anemones and sea fans providing habitat for smaller species like scorpionfish, pipefish, and sand eels.

Macro divers will find plenty to explore in the crevices and sandy patches, including moray eels (Muraenidae) and various species of wrasse (Labridae). The presence of sea anemones and diverse coral gardens ensures a constant flow of small reef fish.

Diving in the El Quseir area involves a variety of environments, from sheltered bays like Zerib Kebir to exposed offshore reefs. Some sites, such as Abu Sawatir, may require the use of a descent line to assist with entry and exit during periods of current.

Drift diving is a common experience, particularly at sites like Shaab Maksur where you might drift along a steep wall. The availability of zodiacs on the safari boats allows the team to reach more remote sites and manage entries more effectively.
