Hammerhead Divers

Located at Dock C in the Marina del Rey, Hammerhead Divers provides a specialised diving experience in the waters of Cabo San Lucas. As a boutique operation, the focus is placed on personalised service and maintaining small group sizes for every outing.

The centre is positioned to access the diverse marine environments of the Baja California peninsula, from the sheltered areas of the Cabo Marine Park to the more expansive waters of the Gordo Banks. This allows for a variety of diving styles, including reef exploration and offshore expeditions.

The team consists of PADI-certified instructors who are trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and French. This ensures clear communication for a wide range of divers during briefings and underwater guidance.

Safety and local expertise are central to their operation. The instructors hold NOM-09 certification, which is required to lead groups within the protected marine zones of Mexico. This ensures that all dives respect the local environmental regulations and conservation protocols.

Beyond standard instruction, the centre demonstrates a strong commitment to ocean conservation. They actively organise regular dive clean-ups to help maintain the health of the local reefs and marine habitats.

The centre offers a full range of PADI training programmes. For those new to the water, they provide Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) sessions to introduce the sensation of breathing underwater.

For those looking to progress through their formal qualifications, the centre runs the PADI Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses. These programmes build the fundamental skills and buoyancy control necessary for more advanced marine environments.

The local waters are home to a diverse array of marine life, with regular sightings of sharks, rays, and sea lions. Divers will also encounter a wide variety of reef fish and various macro creatures throughout the different dive sites.

Depending on the time of year, the area becomes a significant corridor for larger species. Humpback whales and grey whales are seasonal visitors to these waters, providing opportunities for spectacular sightings.
