Located in Honolulu, Dive Oahu, Inc. has been a mainstay of the local diving community for more than 25 years. As a PADI 5 Star Career Development Center, the shop provides a professional foundation for both recreational divers and those looking to pursue a career in the industry.

The centre operates with a presence across several locations, including Ala Moana, Kaka’ako, and NEX. For boat departures, you will head to either Kewalo Basin Harbor or Waiʻanae Small Boat Harbor, depending on your scheduled excursion.

As a 5 Star Career Development Center, the team is geared towards high-level instruction and professional progression. They facilitate everything from initial Discover Scuba Diving sessions through to advanced professional training like the Divemaster course.

Instruction is conducted in English, ensuring clear communication for technical details and safety briefings. The centre's long-standing reputation is built on a commitment to professional standards and local knowledge of the Hawaiian waters.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Open Water Diver course, while those looking to expand their skills can progress through various levels.

The reefs around Oahu are home to a diverse array of larger marine life. You will regularly encounter green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas), rays, and various reef fish. For those looking for larger pelagics, white-tip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus) are known to visit sites like the Sea Tiger.

Substantial populations of reef fish, including snapper (Lutjanidae) and surgeonfish (Acanthuridae), inhabit the coral structures. You may also spot various species of butterflyfish (Chaetodon) and angelfish (Pomacanthidae) darting through the reef flat.

The underwater scenery is defined by a healthy mix of hard corals and soft corals, providing essential habitat for the local ecosystem. These structures are often accompanied by sponges (Porifera) and gorgonian (Gorgonacea) fans.

Macro enthusiasts can look for smaller wonders such as octopus (Octopoda), leaf scorpionfish, and devil scorpionfish. The crevices and coral heads also host various invertebrates and nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani).
