Hawaii Dive Center

The centre is a PADI affiliated dive operation with a strong emphasis on local knowledge and environmental responsibility. They cater to a wide range of experience levels, from those taking their first breaths underwater to seasoned divers looking for specific marine encounters.

Instructional programmes are extensive, covering foundational skills through to more specialised training. The team manages various PADI programmes, including the Seal Team for younger divers and professional development paths such as the IDC Staff Instructor course.

As a PADI centre, they offer a comprehensive curriculum for all stages of diver development. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver or Junior Scuba Diver courses, while those looking to expand their skills can pursue the Boat Diver certification.

The waters surrounding the islands are home to a vibrant array of marine life, including Hawaiian green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) and rotating dolphins (Delphinidae). You will frequently encounter various reef fish, such as surgeonfish (Acanthuridae), snapper (Lutjanidae), and the colourful humuhumunukunukuapua'a.

Large pelagics and predators are also part of the ecosystem, with sightings of white-tip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus) and barracuda (Sphyraena). Green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) are a regular presence throughout the local reefs.
