The centre is designed for divers who value a more tailored approach. Rather than large, crowded charters, you can expect a much more focused experience that allows you to focus entirely on the marine life and the dive itself.

The team at Reef Pirates Diving consists of certified professionals, including USCG licensed captains who manage the boat operations. This ensures that every trip is handled by experienced hands familiar with the local waters.

Instruction is delivered by qualified PADI professionals, covering everything from your first breath underwater to advanced specialties. To maintain a high standard of safety and attention, the guide-to-diver ratio is kept to a maximum of six divers per instructor.

Reef Pirates Diving is a PADI affiliated centre offering a comprehensive range of certifications. You can begin your journey with the Open Water Diver course or progress through the Advanced Open Water Diver curriculum.

For those looking to specialise, the centre provides training for Nitrox, Deep, Wreck, Drift, and Wall specialties. They also offer training for the Divemaster level for those pursuing a professional career in diving.

The centre operates its own 28-foot dive boat, specifically configured to handle small groups. To ensure you get the most out of your time on the water, the boat departs 30 to 45 minutes earlier than other local charters, giving you more time to settle in before the first descent.

These outings are tailored to the specific site, whether it is a morning excursion to a deep wreck or an afternoon trip to the shallow reefs. The boat capacity is strictly limited to six divers to preserve the intimacy of the experience.

For those who prefer to use their own kit, a selection of ScubaPro and Cressi equipment is available for hire on-site. This includes high-quality regulators and BCDs to ensure your comfort during the dive.

In addition to standard scuba gear, the centre offers underwater camera rentals for those looking to document their sightings. Professional photography services are also available for purchase if you prefer to leave the documentation to the experts.

The reefs are home to a diverse array of larger marine life. You can frequently encounter green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas), various shark species, and rays gliding through the water.

For those interested in macro life, the area hosts a variety of smaller organisms, including frogfish (Antennariidae), nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), and various species of octopus (Octopus vulgaris). You may also spot leaf scorpionfish and devil scorpionfish amongst the reef structures.

The surrounding waters are also frequented by larger pelagics and reef inhabitants such as moray eels, barracuda (Sphyraena), and various snapper (Lutjanidae) species. You will often see reef fish, butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and angelfish (Pomacanthidae) navigating the coral.

The local waters typically maintain temperatures between 24°C and 27°C. Visibility in the area is generally between 18 and 30 metres.
