Trident Adventures has been operating on Oahu since 2018, providing a professional gateway to the diverse marine environments of Hawaii. Located at the historic Aloha Tower in Honolulu and with a second location at MCBH Kaneohe Bay, the centre is positioned to access a variety of reef and wreck sites.

The centre is owned and operated by former Navy SEALs, a background that informs their disciplined approach to safety and professionalism. This expertise extends beyond standard recreational diving, offering unique opportunities for those seeking more specialised or extreme underwater experiences.

The team consists of 14 highly qualified instructors, many of whom bring the precision and experience of their Navy SEAL backgrounds to the dive boat. This large staff ensures a high level of professional oversight for all students and divers.

As a PADI 5 Star IDC centre, they are equipped to train the next generation of divers and professionals. They are also the only PADI Adaptive Diving facility in Hawaii, making them a vital resource for divers requiring specialised accessibility and support.

For veterans, the centre provides programmes approved by the VA, allowing the use of GI-Bill® benefits. Their expertise is not limited to the water, as they also facilitate tactical shooting and guided hunting activities.

The course catalogue is extensive, catering to everyone from those taking their first breaths underwater to seasoned professionals. They offer the full range of PADI certifications, including Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and Rescue Diver.

For those looking to turn diving into a career, the centre provides Divemaster and Instructor Development Course (IDC) training. They also cater to the technical community with CCR and technical diving courses, as well as the unique PADI Helicopter Diver Certification.

The centre provides full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes everything required for a complete dive, from regulators to exposure protection.

For technical divers, the facility is equipped to support advanced requirements, including rebreather (CCR) diving. On board or during excursions, divers are provided with water, snacks, and fresh fruit such as pineapple, along with warm towels to use after the dive.

The reefs around Oahu are home to a vibrant array of tropical fish, including various species of Butterflyfish (Chaetodon), Angelfish (Pomacanthidae), and Surgeonfish (Acanthuridae). You will also see Parrotfish (Calotomus), Moorish idols, and colourful juvenile wrasses navigating the hard corals and soft corals.

Large pelagics are a highlight of the area, with regular sightings of Eagle ray and Manta ray (Mobula alfredi). Whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus) and Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) are also part of the local ecosystem, alongside various species of reef shark.

Macro life enthusiasts can find plenty to observe, such as the Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), leaf scorpionfish, and devil scorpionfish. Keep a close eye on the reef for Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), Frogfish (Antennarius), and various species of shrimp (Caridea).

During the whale season, Humpback whales can be seen in these waters. You may also encounter Spinner dolphin (Delphinidae) depending on the time of your visit.
