High Season Pool Villa & Spa is a beachfront resort on Ko Kood for divers who like their sea time followed by a proper villa, a private pool and somewhere comfortable to dry out. The setting is uncomplicated: sand, palms, water and jungle, with enough space in the accommodation to avoid playing Tetris with your bags.

The private-pool villas give the resort its character. You can step back from the beach into your own outdoor space, then retreat indoors to air conditioning, a seating area and a bath. Couples will find the layout particularly easy to use, while family rooms and babysitting services make the address workable for mixed-age trips too. It is a polished resort rather than a rough-and-ready island base: useful if your ideal post-dive plan involves a shower, a cold drink and absolutely no further logistical decisions.

You are in Ko Kood, Thailand, directly on Klong Chao Beach. The beach is white sand, with sun loungers and parasols, so the sea is not a shuttle ride or a scenic promise away: it starts at the resort’s edge. Ao Ngamkho Beach is about 0.8 miles away by road, while Ao Noi Beach is roughly 1.5 miles away by road or 1.2 miles on foot.

The location gives you both coastline and inland scenery. Klong Chao Waterfall is about 4.5 miles away by road, and the resort describes its surroundings as seafront and jungle. For a change of table, an Italian restaurant is about 450 ft away by road, while Khao Kaeng is roughly 0.7 miles away. Three cafés sit within about 900 ft to 1,900 ft by road.

Trat Airport is about 46 miles away. The resort also offers a shuttle service, including an airport shuttle, so the journey can be arranged around your arrival rather than improvised with a suitcase and a hopeful expression.

These are villas, not simply rooms with a balcony attached. Every villa has a terrace, private pool, outdoor furniture and a private entrance, giving you somewhere to sit between dives without having to share the recovery zone with the rest of the resort. The Beachfront Suite Pool Villa is the obvious choice if being closest to the sand matters most; the larger villa categories make more sense when you want room for three and space to spread out.

There is a refrigerator, coffee machine, electric kettle and minibar, which means fresh water and a quiet coffee are available without turning the evening into an expedition. Daily housekeeping keeps the villa in order while you are out.

A seating area, sofa, desk and flat-screen television give you alternatives to lying on the bed, although diving holidays rarely suffer from a shortage of lying down. The bathroom includes both a shower and a bath, with bathrobes, slippers, towels and a hairdryer. Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort, and a safe is available in the villa for the items you do not want taking a swim.

The beachfront restaurant handles breakfast, lunch and dinner outdoors, with Thai and international cooking on the menu. Breakfast runs from 07:30 to 10:00 and comes in Asian, American and buffet styles, giving you room to choose between something familiar and something that reminds you where you are. Room service is available when the day has taken more out of you than expected.

Dinner has a second setting at The Bird’s Nest, an outdoor restaurant focused on local cuisine and views across Klong Chao Beach. It is the sort of option that lets you stay on the property without repeating the same table every night. Special-diet menus are available on request, and the resort also has a coffee house on site.

For the drink that marks the end of the diving day, Season Bar sits by the beach. It serves cocktails, wines, beers and champagnes, including imported and local beers and a broader list of wines and liqueurs. There is one named beach bar, so the choice is straightforward: walk towards the sand, order something cold and let the equipment talk wait until tomorrow.

The Galaxy Pool is a 15 by 30 metre outdoor saltwater pool, giving you a proper alternative to the sea when you want a few easy lengths or simply a horizontal afternoon. The resort also places sun loungers and beach chairs by the pool and beach, with the private beach area available for doing very little at all. A hot tub is available too.

High Spa covers the more deliberate form of recovery. Its treatments include massage, facials, a steam room, sauna, mud bath and body wrap, with relaxing treatments also available in your villa. There is a spa lounge and relaxation area, while the fitness centre and yoga classes give you options if your legs still feel inclined to work.

On the water, you can use the resort’s kayaking facilities, go snorkelling, fish or join a boat excursion. On land, the programme includes hiking, cooking classes, cultural excursions, waterfall visits and trips to fishing villages. That is enough variety for a non-diving day without pretending that every hour needs filling. The library is there for the traditional specialist activity: reading until lunch.

Check-in starts from 15:00 and check-out is by 12:00. You need photo identification and a credit card at check-in, and the resort asks you to share your expected arrival time in advance. The minimum check-in age is 18, while children of all ages are welcome; cots and extra beds can be requested, subject to the selected accommodation and availability.

An airport shuttle and a general shuttle service are available. The complimentary service from Ao Salad Pier to the resort runs at 12:00 and 16:00, with return departures at 08:00 and 11:00. Private parking is available on site without reservation, and laundry, daily housekeeping, wake-up service and meeting facilities are also offered. Cash is an accepted payment method.

One date matters before you commit: the property is scheduled to close from 4 June to 31 July 2026 for renovation of the swimming pool and Beachfront Restaurant, with operations due to resume on 1 August 2026. Check the dates carefully if your trip falls in that period. Pets are not allowed.

The resort’s environmental approach is built into the way it describes the property rather than around a named certification. Natural building materials are used, and plants and vegetables are grown on the resort.
