Plongee Caraibes

Immersion Caraibes is situated in the Marina du Marin, providing a convenient base for exploring the warm waters of Southern Martinique. The centre focuses on small-group outings, ensuring that whether you are a beginner or an experienced diver, the pace of the dive remains personal and manageable.

The centre's operations cover a wide range of marine environments, from the shallow reef flats to the more structured sites around the Rocher du Diamant. With a focus on convivial, safe diving, the centre caters to those looking to explore the local coral gardens at a steady rhythm.

The centre is led by Virginie, a BEES 1° Scuba Diving instructor with over 22 years of experience in the industry. Her background includes extensive teaching in Guadeloupe and at major resorts in Sainte-Anne, bringing a high level of professional expertise to the Marina du Marin.

As an SSI affiliated centre and a French diving school, the team provides instruction in French, English, Spanish, and German. This multilingual approach makes the centre accessible to a wide range of international divers.

Teaching is supported by modern digital resources, with free online training available for snorkeling, scuba diving, and ocean studies. These digital materials can be accessed via computer or smartphone, allowing you to prepare for your practical sessions at your own pace.

As an SSI centre, Immersion Caraibes offers a comprehensive curriculum. For those new to the water, they provide Snorkeling, Freediving, and Junior programmes, alongside introductory courses such as Try Scuba, Scuba Diver, and Open Water Diver.

For more experienced divers, the training extends through the levels of Divemaster and advanced certifications, including Nitrox and specialized training for those looking to progress toward more autonomous diving. The course catalogue also includes specific depth-based training such as Diver supervised at 12m, 20m, and 40m.

The centre operates small boats with a capacity of 2 to 6 divers per trip, maintaining an intimate atmosphere on the water. Cylinders are kept on board, and the boat departs directly from the Marina du Marin.

In addition to daytime excursions, the centre conducts night dives, allowing you to experience the change in marine activity after sunset.

The centre provides Nitrox for divers looking to extend their bottom time. For those requiring kit, basic equipment such as masks and fins can be hired on-site.

To help you preserve your underwater memories, the centre offers photos and videos of your dives; you simply need to bring your own USB stick or SD card.

The reefs around the Grand Sud are home to a variety of tropical fish and colourful sponges that create a vibrant backdrop for your dives. You can regularly observe octopuses, sea urchins, and various species of soles moving across the seabed.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants are present throughout the gardens, including various species of octopus and interesting invertebrates nestled within the reef structure.
