Scuba Shark Fuvahmulah

The centre is a PADI affiliated facility that has been operating since 2022. The team is composed of experienced and well-trained instructors who specialise in navigating the specific conditions of Fuvahmulah.

To maintain a high standard of safety and personal attention, the centre operates with a strict ratio of a maximum of four divers per guide. This allows for more tailored guidance during dives, which is particularly beneficial when tracking pelagic species.

Communication is straightforward for international divers, as the team is proficient in English, French, and Spanish.

Scuba Shark Fuvahmulah offers a full spectrum of PADI training. You can begin your journey with entry-level courses such as Open Water Diver or explore the island's waters through various specialised programmes.

The waters around Fuvahmulah are a magnet for large pelagics. You can regularly encounter Tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier), Thresher shark, oceanic whitetip sharks, and Grey reef shark. Silky sharks and various other reef fish also frequent the area.

Seasonality plays a significant role in what you might see during your visit. Between December and March, Hammerhead shark (Sphyrna lewini) are present, and Whale sharks can be found from November to March. If you visit between April and May, you have the opportunity to see oceanic manta rays.

The reef environment is supported by a variety of Hard coral (Scleractinia) and diverse reef fish, creating a complex ecosystem for the larger predators to inhabit.
