Hotel El Raset is a small, 20-room hotel for divers who would rather sleep in the middle of Denia than retreat to a self-contained resort. The port is on the doorstep, the waterfront is part of the daily view, and the old town is close enough for an unplanned wander before dinner.

You are in Denia, Spain, beside Denia Port and on the waterfront. The historic centre is 200 metres away, so the castle, old streets and local restaurants are part of the neighbourhood rather than a planned excursion. Denia Bus Station is 0.9 miles away, while Estació de Dénia is about 0.4 miles from the hotel.

The hotel has direct access to a sandy beach with sun loungers and parasols. Les Marines Beach is about 0.7 miles away, and Punta del Raset Beach is roughly 350 metres away. For a change of scenery, Montgó Nature Reserve is about 1.7 miles away; Denia Castle is around 0.6 miles on foot.

The room choice is straightforward. A sea-view twin suits two divers who want the waterfront in front of them, while the Superior Twin Room gives you more breathing space than the standard double. The single room is the sensible option if you are travelling alone and would rather keep the budget for the important things: dives, dinner and another dinner.

A balcony is useful when you want air and a view without going back out, while the desk gives you somewhere to deal with the less glamorous part of travelling. For a drink, Lamarserena occupies a terrace between the port and the beach. In other words, you can have a quiet waterfront drink or make a decision that tomorrow's alarm was probably optimistic.

The beach is the main outdoor facility here, with direct access to sand, loungers and parasols. It is an easy place to spend an unhurried surface interval, read a few pages or let the salt dry off before deciding whether you are going anywhere at all.

When you do want to move, the hotel offers cultural excursions towards Denia Castle and Montgó Nature Reserve. The castle is close enough for a walk from the hotel, while the reserve gives you a more open landscape away from the port. These are useful options for a non-diving day, particularly if one of you wants a change of pace rather than another session beside the water.

A tour desk, car hire, laundry and dry-cleaning services add practical support around those plans. There is also a 24-hour front desk, so the hotel can accommodate the awkward timings that tend to accompany travel, ferries and early departures.

Alicante Airport and Valencia Airport are both just over an hour away by car. The hotel offers car hire, and its tour desk can help organise local plans. Parking is limited and subject to availability, so a hired car is not something to treat as automatically sorted. The hotel itself is close enough to the port, beach, old town and nearby restaurants that you can leave the car behind for much of the stay.

Check-in runs from 14:00 to 23:00, and check-out from 07:00 to 12:00. You need to tell the hotel your expected arrival time and show photo identification and a credit card at check-in. A lift, luggage storage, room service and a safety deposit box keep the practical side reasonably simple.
