Two bus stops are also within a few minutes' walk, giving you an alternative to taking a car every time you fancy leaving the beach strip.

Ibiza Airport is around 2 miles away, with the journey taking roughly 5 to 10 minutes by car. That is useful on arrival, and even more useful when the return flight is at an unfriendly hour.

The compact Studio is the straightforward choice for two, with a double bed and the essentials arranged around a kitchenette, private bathroom and air conditioning. For a couple wanting more room to spread out, the Junior Suites and Deluxe Suite give you a more generous base, with the sea-view option adding the part of the room that photographs cannot quite capture: somewhere to look when you are not looking at a screen.

If three people are sharing, the Junior Suites or Deluxe Suite make more sense than the smallest accommodation. The quadruple option is arranged with single beds and a sofa bed, giving a practical solution for a larger group rather than pretending that everyone wants to sleep in the same bed. Choose according to how much room you want for bags, wet beachwear and the general debris produced by a day beside the water.

All suites have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries, plus a kitchenette. Soundproof rooms are available, which matters in a lively part of Ibiza. You can move between pool, beach and terrace without turning the afternoon into a project, which is often the correct level of ambition when your legs have already done enough work.

For recovery, the spa and massage area offer full-body, back, neck, head, hand and foot massages, as well as couples massages. That last option is particularly practical when two people have returned from the water in different moods but would both benefit from lying still for a while. A solarium, sun terrace, garden and outdoor seating give you several places to do very little.

When sitting still loses its appeal, kayaking is available, and bicycle rental, cultural excursions and other activities can take you away from the pool.
