Cala Santanyí Diving Center

Cala Santanyí Diving Center is situated on the southern coast of Mallorca, positioned directly by the sea just below the Pinos Playa hotel. This location provides a practical base for exploring the Mediterranean's clear waters and varied underwater topography.

With over two decades of experience, the centre focuses on professional instruction within a small, family-oriented environment. The proximity to the Migjorn Marine Reserve and the Cabrera National Park makes it a strategic point for divers looking to visit some of the Balearic Islands' most protected marine areas.

The team consists of four highly qualified instructors capable of managing a variety of certification levels. They operate as a small, close-knit school where safety is the primary operational priority.

Communication is straightforward for international divers, as the team speaks Spanish, English, German, French, Italian, and Hungarian. This multilingual approach ensures that both technical instruction and dive briefings are clearly understood by a diverse range of students.

The centre provides a comprehensive range of training through PADI and SSI affiliations. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or Bubblemaker programmes, progressing through to Open Water Diver and Scuba Diver certifications.

For more experienced divers, the curriculum includes Advanced Open Water, Deep Diving, and Night and Limited Visibility specialties. The school also offers professional training up to the Divemaster level, alongside technical and skill-based courses such as Enriched Air Nitrox, Computer Diving, and Perfect Buoyancy. Specialized instruction in the Science of Diving and Emergency First Response is also available.

The centre operates the Kiwi Uno, a Zodiac RIB with a capacity for 12 people. This vessel is used to reach various dive sites, including the stretch between Cala Figuera and Caló des Moro, which are located within a maximum distance of two nautical miles and a 15-minute transit.

For those interested in night diving, the boat is used for nocturnal excursions. Nitrox is available for use on these trips, allowing for extended bottom times during your outings.

Full equipment hire is available on-site for divers who do not wish to travel with their own kit. This includes wetsuits, masks, fins, and regulators. For night dives, torches are available for rent, and dive computers can also be hired.

Specific items such as BCDs and regulators are available as individual rental components. The centre also provides insurance options for daily, weekly, monthly, or annual coverage.

The Mediterranean waters in this region are known for their clarity, which generally makes for easy immersion across all skill levels. The proximity of the dive sites to the shore means transit times are short, reducing time spent on the surface.
