The reefs here are home to a vast array of schooling fish, including large masses of Fusilier (Caesio) and various species of trevally. You will frequently encounter larger predators such as Grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos) and Whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus), as well as Barracuda (Sphyraena) and Bigeye trevally (Caranx).

Fixed life forms provide a vibrant backdrop to every dive, with a rich variety of Soft coral (Alcyonacea) and Hard coral (Scleractinia). You will see many species of Gorgonian (Gorgonacea), Sea whips, and various Sponges (Porifera) covering the reef structures.

For those interested in macro life, the area is home to diverse invertebrates. You can look for Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) and various species of Shrimp (Caridea), including Cleaner shrimp (Lysmata).

The diving area includes a variety of environments, from reef flats to steep walls and drift dives. The Namena Marine Reserve is particularly noted for its high level of marine activity during drift dives.
