Huatulco Dive Center

Huatulco Dive Center is established in the heart of Santa María Huatulco, serving as a gateway to the protected waters of the Huatulco National Park. Since its founding in 2010, the centre has focused on professional standards and reliable boat operations to showcase the region's biodiversity.

You will depart from the Bahías de Huatulco Sea Soul Huatulco Club at Playa Chahue, positioning you perfectly to reach the various reefs and coastal formations that define this stretch of the Mexican Pacific.

As a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center (IDC), the facility is geared towards high-level training, offering everything from initial certifications to professional Divemaster and instructor programmes. The team is international and experienced, ensuring that instruction is handled with technical precision.

Classes are kept small, with a limit of four students per group to ensure close supervision and personalised guidance. The staff is bilingual, providing all instruction and dive support in both English and Spanish.

The training programme is extensive, covering the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover SCUBA Diving or progress through the Open Water Diver course. The centre also facilitates the PADI Referral Open Water Diver process.

For those looking to advance their skills, the curriculum includes the Advanced Open Water Diver course, various PADI Specialty Diver programmes, and the Rescue Diver course. Professional candidates can pursue the Divemaster and Instructor Development Course (IDC) tracks on-site.

All diving trips are conducted aboard the MAKO, a 33-foot dedicated dive boat designed for stability and comfort. The vessel has a capacity for 10 guests and is powered by two 150hp Yamaha 4-stroke motors, ensuring reliable transit to the dive sites.

On board, you will find a covered awning for shade, a freshwater shower to rinse off after your dives, and a private head with a toilet. The boat is equipped with filtered drinking water, a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, and all necessary life-saving equipment.

The centre maintains an on-site retail shop offering a selection of diving and snorkeling equipment. For those looking to kit up, the shop provides access to various essential items for your dives in the park.

Shore-based facilities include areas to prepare for your excursions, supported by the professional standards expected of an IDC.
