Hurricane Divers has been a fixture of the Huatulco diving scene since 1999. Situated in Santa María Huatulco, the centre serves as a gateway to the rich marine biodiversity found within the Huatulco National Park.

Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or are an experienced diver seeking local expertise, the centre provides a structured and professional environment. The operation is built on a foundation of long-term local knowledge and a commitment to the marine environment.

The centre is led by Natanael Mejía, a PADI IDC Staff Instructor with more than 40 years of diving experience, including 31 years specifically in the Huatulco region. This deep local knowledge ensures that dive sites are selected based on current conditions and diver ability.

The team consists of qualified instructors and dive masters who prioritise a personalised approach. To maintain high safety standards and individual attention, the centre operates with a maximum ratio of four divers per guide.

Safety is integrated into every aspect of their operation. The centre is a member of DAN (Divers Alert Network) and ensures that essential emergency equipment, including VHF radio, first aid kits, and emergency oxygen, is always available on board.

Hurricane Divers offers a complete range of PADI training programmes. For those new to the water, they conduct Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver courses.

Experienced divers can progress through Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster certifications. The centre is also equipped to facilitate IDC (Instructor Development Course) training for those looking to enter the professional side of diving.

The centre provides a full range of rental kit for those not travelling with their own equipment. This includes regulators, wetsuits, fins, and masks.

A significant advantage for divers is the on-site maintenance; the centre employs an internal SCUBAPRO technician to service and maintain all equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order for your dives.

The waters of the Huatulco National Park are home to a variety of tropical fish and diverse macro life. You can expect to encounter a wide range of colourful reef species during your explorations.

For those interested in macro photography or close-up observation, the area offers plenty of interest with various forms of macro life scattered across the reef flats and structures.

Beyond the small residents of the reef, the region's biodiversity includes various tropical fish species that inhabit the coral and rocky formations.
