Dive Spot Asia

Located in Boljoon, between the towns of Boljoon and Oslob on the southeast coast of Cebu, Dive Spot Asia offers a professional diving experience integrated with the Brumini Beach Resort. The centre is positioned approximately 98 km from Cebu City, providing a more tranquil alternative to the busier diving hubs of the island.

The centre is run by German management, ensuring a structured and professional approach to both diving operations and resort hospitality. Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or exploring more advanced sites, the setup is designed to support a smooth transition from the classroom to the water.

The centre is affiliated with SSI and is managed by a German team, with instruction available in both English and German. This professional oversight extends to the resort facilities, creating a cohesive environment for divers staying on-site.

Safety is a central focus of the operations, with 100% pure oxygen, a first aid kit, and radio equipment maintained on hand. The centre also provides Aqua Med insurance to support divers during their stay.

Dive Spot Asia offers a comprehensive range of SSI training programmes. Beginners can start with Try Scuba or work through the Open Water Diver course, while those looking to progress can enrol in Advanced Adventurer, Navigation, Deep Dives, or Night Dives.

For divers looking to refine their skills, specific training is available for Perfect Buoyancy and Boat diving. All theoretical instruction takes place in the Fire Pit lounge or the restaurant, with practical training conducted in the resort's infinity pool or at local training sites featuring coral and small walls.

The centre operates the SEASNAKE, a 10-metre speedboat powered by twin 4-stroke outboard engines. The vessel has a capacity of 10 divers, making it suitable for small groups or larger excursions.

Onboard, you will find drinking water, coffee, and tea to refresh you between dives. The boat is used for various excursions, including trips to the reefs and the whale shark sightings in Oslob.

The shore-based facilities include a well-ventilated equipment room, a dedicated rinsing tank, and showers for post-dive use. For those requiring kit, a full range of rental equipment is available on-site.

All aluminium cylinders are equipped with both DIN and INT valves, and universal adapters are kept available to ensure compatibility with your regulator. The centre's professional setup is designed to handle the logistical needs of both recreational and training divers.

The local marine life is highlighted by the seasonal presence of whale sharks, which can be observed daily between 08:30 and 12:30.

The reefs are characterised by diverse habitats, including steep walls, sloping reefs, and sandy patches interspersed with coral blocks. These environments support a variety of fish species and coral formations that define the Cebu diving experience.

The best time to visit the area is from March to July, when the sea is generally calmer and wave action is reduced. While the reefs can be beautiful, some deeper sites may be subject to moderate to strong currents.

Temperature remains consistent throughout the year, typically around 28°C. Divers should be aware that certain deeper reef sections can experience varying current conditions depending on the tide and season.
