VietDivers - SSI Dive Center in Phu Quoc

Established in March 2013, VietDivers has grown from a local group of passionate Vietnamese divers into an established SSI dive centre. They operate across three key locations: Ho Chi Minh Ville, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc, providing a consistent standard of instruction across the country.

The centre is built on a mission of responsible diving and marine conservation. Whether you are looking to start your journey with a Scuba Diver course or advance through professional levels, the focus remains on developing competent, environmentally conscious divers.

The team consists of highly trained instructors who prioritise the psychology and individual limits of every student. This attentive approach ensures that you feel comfortable and safe, regardless of whether you are a novice or an experienced diver.

Instruction is conducted in English and Vietnamese. The centre is particularly well-equipped for training, offering a range of courses from basic skills to professional certifications.

As an SSI centre, VietDivers offers a comprehensive curriculum. Beginners can start with Try Scuba Diving or the Open Water Diver course, while those interested in breath-hold diving can take the Basic Freedive or SSI Try Freediving courses.

For more advanced divers, the centre provides the Perfect Buoyancy Course, Scuba Explorer for younger divers, and the Science of Diving. Professional paths are also available through the SSI Dive Master certification. They also offer the SSI React Right course for emergency response.

For trips out of Phu Quoc, you can join excursions on the Marmoris Yacht for full-day outings.

The centre operates the DPool, a private training pool designed specifically for diving training and equipment testing. It provides a calm, controlled environment without the unpredictability of waves or currents, making it an ideal location for skill reinforcement or testing new kit.

For those diving in the field, the centre offers full equipment hire, including fins, masks, and wetsuits.

The reefs around these locations host a variety of reef fish, including many species of Angelfish (Pomacanthidae) and Butterflyfish (Chaetodon). You can also observe Parrotfish (Calotomus), Sergeant majors, Chromis, and various Wrasse (Labridae).

For those looking for larger pelagics, the area is known for encounters with Grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos). You may also spot sea turtles (Cheloniidae) and various types of Grouper (Epinephelinae) near the reef structures.

Macro enthusiasts and those searching for crustaceans can find Octopus (Octopoda), Spiny lobster (Palinuridae), and Mantis shrimp (Stomatopoda). The reefs also host Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) and various species of sea anemone fish.
