Dive Andaman

Located in the heart of the Bay of Bengal, Dive Andaman operates primarily out of Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island). The centre serves as a gateway to some of the most significant coral ecosystems in the region, offering access to varied environments ranging from shallow reef flats to deeper offshore sites.

With a history that includes participation in Guinness World Records related to diving in the Andaman Islands, the centre has established a reputation for professional standards. Divers can choose to explore the waters around Havelock, Neil, or Port Blair, depending on their experience level and the specific marine life they wish to encounter.

As a PADI 5 Star centre, Dive Andaman maintains a high standard of instruction and safety. The team is capable of guiding divers through a wide range of environments, from calm reef tops to more challenging offshore sites.

All instruction and guiding are conducted in English. The centre is well-equipped to manage diverse groups, including non-swimmers looking to start their diving journey through Discover Scuba Diving programmes.

The training programme is comprehensive, covering the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, while those looking to progress can move through Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and eventually the Divemaster level.

For divers looking to refine their skills, a wide array of PADI specialties are available. These include Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Drift Diver, and Underwater Navigation. The centre also offers specialised training such as the Night Diver Specialty, Underwater Photography Specialty, and the PADI Project Aware Specialty.

The centre provides full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit, including cylinders, masks, fins, regulators, and weights. This allows you to travel light while still having access to reliable, essential gear.

Safety is a priority on-site, with oxygen (O2) provider services and safety equipment available for all dives. The centre also supports night diving operations with the necessary equipment and safety protocols in place.

The marine life in the Andaman Islands is diverse, with regular sightings of turtles, moray eels, manta rays, trevally, and batfish. These species are part of the regular ecosystem encountered during dives around the islands.

Coral health is a major feature of the region, particularly around Snake Island near Port Blair, where abundant live corals can be found in clear water. The reefs provide a complex habitat for a variety of resident species.

In the various reef systems, you will find a range of fish species that inhabit the crevices and open water, contributing to the vibrant underwater scenery of the Bay of Bengal.

The best time to dive in this region is between November and May. During this period, the conditions are generally most favourable for underwater exploration.

The water temperatures typically range between 20°C and 30°C, providing a warm environment for diving throughout the year.
