Scuba Tours has been a fixture of the Costa del Sol diving community since 1999. Based in Benalmádena Costa, the centre is uniquely positioned at a seaside hotel, providing immediate access to the Mediterranean waters of the region.

As a PADI 5 Star IDC (Instructor Development Centre), the facility serves as a high-level training hub. It is the only centre on this stretch of coast to offer such comprehensive on-site training facilities, making it a primary destination for those looking to progress through the PADI system.

The centre is a dedicated PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre, meaning it is equipped to take divers from their first breath underwater all the way to professional instructor training. This high level of accreditation allows for a structured progression through the entire PADI hierarchy.

Instruction is provided in both English and Spanish. The team manages a wide range of programmes, including professional pathways such as Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and PADI Instructor courses, as well as specialized training like the Master Scuba Diver Trainer programme.

The course catalogue is exhaustive, covering every level of the PADI system. Beginners can start with Bubble-Maker, Scuba Diver, or Open Water Diver (OWD) courses, with options to upgrade or progress immediately to Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD).

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers PADI Specialty courses including Deep Diver, Enriched Air Diver, Night Diver, Wreck Diver, and Peak Performance Buoyancy. They also provide Emergency First Response training and Rescue Diver certification.

For those interested in macro life, the area offers sightings of nudibranchs and blennies. Seahorses can also be found in the area, though they appear only occasionally.

The Costa del Sol is known for a climate that allows for diving throughout the entire year. The marine reserve at La Herradura is particularly well-protected, with bays that offer shelter and calm conditions even when other areas are more exposed.
