The mood suits couples particularly well, but families are welcome too. You have a beach at the front, bars and restaurants within easy reach, and enough inside the hotel to make a quiet afternoon possible when your legs have had quite enough of fins for one day. Soundproof rooms help keep the night civilised, which is exactly the sort of detail that earns its keep on a diving holiday.

The hotel sits directly on Torre Bermeja Beach in Benalmádena, with direct access to a sandy beach equipped with sun loungers and parasols. Santa Ana Beach is about 150 metres away on foot, Bil Bil Beach about 300 metres, and Malapesquera Beach roughly 450 metres. The coast is not something you need to organise here; it starts outside.

Puerto Marina is a five-minute walk away, bringing more bars and restaurants when you fancy changing the scenery without arranging transport. Parque de la Paloma is about 1 km away on foot, while Benalmádena–Arroyo de la Miel railway station is around 1 mile away. Málaga Airport is roughly 6 miles from the hotel, with the drive taking about 20 minutes in the hotel’s location description.

Every room has air conditioning, a private balcony and a refrigerator, with most rooms looking towards the sea. That gives you somewhere to sit with a cold drink, somewhere to let the room recover from the day’s salt and heat, and a view that does not require leaving the building. A kettle and tea- and coffee-making facilities cover the first drink of the morning, while the seating area gives you an alternative to balancing a book on the bed.

For two people, the sea-view doubles keep things straightforward: choose a front-facing or corner-facing view if looking out over the water matters more than having extra indoor space. The sunset-facing option is the one to consider if you would rather watch the light change from your own balcony. Some rooms also come with a premium terrace. The one-bedroom apartment with sea view and terrace is the more sensible choice when you want room to spread out, with a separate living area and a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator and kettle.

The apartment comes with a practical caveat: access is by stairs, and its cleaning arrangement differs from the hotel rooms. Beds are made and rubbish is removed, while the apartment receives cleaning once every four nights; the kitchen and its utensils are not cleaned. Elsewhere, soundproofing, heating, air conditioning and a drying rack keep the basic mechanics of a week away from home reasonably well covered.

Food is handled by two restaurants, with a buffet breakfast that covers continental, full English or Irish and vegetarian choices. Gluten-free diets can also be catered for. The exact breakfast hours are not fixed here, so early risers should check the current arrangement before assuming the first coffee will be waiting at an especially heroic hour.

There are two bars, including a rooftop sky bar, plus a terrace and a snack bar for the moments when a full meal feels unnecessarily ambitious. A coffee house is also available on site. The rooftop gives you a reason to stay out a little longer, while the terrace is the more obvious place for a drink without committing to an evening programme.

The hotel’s own dining area is not your only option. Puerto Marina is five minutes away on foot, and several restaurants are within a few hundred metres, including Scruffy Murphy’s, Nahar Mahal and London Café Benalmádena. That gives you a choice between keeping dinner simple in the hotel and going out for a change of scenery, without turning the decision into a taxi operation.

The outdoor infinity pool is the obvious place for a non-diving swim, with sun loungers, beach chairs and umbrellas available when you would rather remain horizontal. The direct beach access gives you another option, although the useful luxury here is having both choices close at hand: sea when you want the coast, pool when you want to stop thinking about it.

The Spa & Wellness area brings a heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi and hot-tub showers. Massage treatments cover the back, neck, feet, head, hands and the full body, with body scrubs, wraps, facial treatments, manicures and pedicures also available. This is the part of the hotel that makes sense when your shoulders have started filing formal complaints about carrying dive gear.

There is a fitness centre for those who still have energy to spend, along with live music, evening entertainment and televised sports. Billiards, bicycle hire, windsurfing, fishing and golf within 3 km are also available, with the tour desk able to help arrange activities in the area. Parque de la Paloma is about 1 km away if a walk through an urban park sounds better than another hour beside a swimming pool.

A 24-hour reception, concierge service, luggage storage and a tour desk keep the arrival and departure days manageable. Check-in runs from 15:00 to midnight and check-out from 06:00 to 12:00. You need to show photo identification and a credit card at check-in, and the hotel asks you to share your expected arrival time in advance. The minimum check-in age is 18.

Private parking is available in the hotel’s parking garage, with no advance reservation possible. Málaga Airport is about 6 miles away, and the hotel is around 1 mile from Benalmádena–Arroyo de la Miel station. Car hire is available, while the nearby marina, beaches and restaurants mean you can manage plenty of the holiday on foot.
