Breakfast arrangements are not specified, so plan around the restaurant's stated lunch and dinner service rather than assuming an early meal before a boat departure. There is no bar listed, but Getaria's central streets put other places to eat and drink within easy reach.

The hotel's main off-duty asset is its setting. Playa de Malkorbe is about a four-minute walk away, and Playa de Gaztetape is also close, giving you an uncomplicated way to spend an afternoon by the water without arranging an excursion. For a quieter change of pace, the old streets of Getaria begin at the front door.

The Cristóbal Balenciaga museum is about 300 metres away, a useful option when one person wants culture and the other wants to sit down properly after a dive. The Iglesia de San Salvador is only a few steps away, while the tour desk can help with local plans. There is no need to fill every surface interval with an organised activity; here, the town does much of the work.
