Hotel Carmen is a small, straightforward base in La Cala de Mijas for a stay built around the coast rather than a long list of resort facilities. That suits you if the plan is simple: get outside, eat locally, and return to a cool room when the Spanish heat has done its work.

Fuengirola is about 6 miles away, and Fuengirola railway station is around 5 miles from the hotel by road. Several golf courses are less than a ten-minute drive away.
