Menorca Airport is roughly 9 miles away by road. Nearby restaurants include Reina Isabel, about a five-minute walk away, and Piccolo Mundo, around 0.4 miles away on foot. Public transport is not the reason to choose this address; a hire car is available through the hotel if you want to explore beyond the immediate coast.

The standard Double Rooms are the practical choice for two people who want a straightforward base between dives. They come with twin beds, air conditioning, a private bathroom with shower, towels, toiletries and a hairdryer, plus a wardrobe and a small seating area. You also have a desk, free WiFi, a kettle and a television with satellite channels. In other words, the useful things are covered, and you will not need to unpack your entire life onto the floor.

If the view matters more than keeping the room simple, the sea-view options make more sense. The My Favorite Club Double Sea View is set up for two with a double bed and gives the room a stronger connection with the coast. The My Favorite Club suites are the more comfortable option for three adults, with swim-up access and either a garden or sea view. They also come with access to reserved areas, which may suit you if you prefer a little more separation from the main pool routine.

Air conditioning will be welcome when the day has involved warm water, salt and a wetsuit that refused to cooperate. Rooms also have heating, a safe for a laptop and a non-smoking setting. Choose according to how you use the room: the standard category works for sleeping and showering, while a sea-view or swim-up option gives you a reason to stay there before dinner rather than heading straight back outside.

The all-inclusive option covers breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the main meals served in buffet form. Breakfast is continental and buffet-style, so you can build a proper plate before heading out or keep things lighter if the boat is leaving your stomach no room for heroics. The main AluaSoul Restaurant serves varied international cooking in an air-conditioned interior setting.

Sa Calma changes the scenery with Mediterranean cooking on a terrace and sea views. It serves lunch and dinner, making it the more natural choice when you want to eat outside and keep the evening tied to the coast. There are three restaurants at the hotel, with further dining options also available at the neighbouring Alua Illa de Menorca and AluaSun Mediterráneo properties.

Two named bars cover the main drinking moments. The Lobby Bar serves cocktails in the entrance area, while the Pool Bar sits beside the outdoor pool and also focuses on cocktails. There is a snack bar as well. The hotel offers a beach club, Puro Beach Oasis del Mar, which is open to the public, so you have another setting for a drink or a change of scenery when the pool has had enough of you.

The main outdoor pool is the centre of the daytime rhythm, with a built-in pool bar, sun loungers and umbrellas.
