Portofino Italian offers contemporary Italian cooking indoors or alfresco, with views across the bay; it is marked as opening soon, so treat it as an option to check rather than the dependable plan for tonight.

There are three named bars. Yaal Beach Club serves meals, drinks and snacks by the beach from 10:00 until sunset, while Horizon Pool Bar handles cocktails and light bites beside the pool. Island Café & Bar is the casual nautical-style stop for a drink, pool or darts, and Sunset Lounge gives you a quieter place to sit above the bay. Room service runs 24 hours, which is handy when your appetite arrives long after your social energy has clocked off.

The outdoor pool is the obvious place for an easier afternoon, with sun loungers, umbrellas and pool or beach towels available. The private beach and lagoon offer a second setting when you want sand rather than tiled pool surrounds. Massage treatments are available at the spa, giving you a more purposeful way to deal with tired shoulders than simply declaring that you are relaxing.

If you still have energy in reserve, the resort has a tennis court, tennis equipment, table tennis, billiards and darts.
