Cabo Pulmo Dive House

Cabo Pulmo Dive House is situated in the heart of the Cabo Pulmo National Marine Reserve, one of Mexico's most significant coral reef ecosystems. This protected area is renowned for its high density of marine life and healthy reef structures, providing a playground for both reef exploration and deeper dives.

Since its establishment in 2021, the centre has focused on delivering guided dives that respect the delicate balance of the reserve. Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or exploring the local reefs as a seasoned diver, the proximity to the reserve's best sites ensures minimal transit time and maximum bottom time.

The centre is led by Angel Salcedo, an experienced PADI instructor who has been active in the diving community since 2002. His background as a senior technician in industrial diving brings a high level of technical oversight and safety awareness to the operation.

Instruction is conducted in both English and Spanish, making the centre accessible to international divers. To maintain a high standard of safety and personal attention, the centre operates with a strict ratio of no more than six divers per guide.

For those starting their journey, the centre offers the Discover Scuba Diving programme, which includes two sea immersions. They also provide full PADI certification courses, including the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver programmes.

Beyond standard scuba training, the centre caters to different disciplines by offering freediving courses. All PADI training programmes include the necessary manuals, equipment, and a combination of pool sessions and four to five dives within the national park.

The centre provides a full range of rental equipment, including wetsuits, regulators, masks, and fins. For those looking to explore the surface, snorkeling kit is also available for hire.

On-site accommodation is integrated with the diving experience. You can choose between the Casa Sierra de la Laguna, a fully equipped house with a kitchen, two bathrooms, and Starlink internet, or more rustic options including individual or double tents equipped with umbrellas, tables, and coolers for a beachfront camping experience.

The reserve is a hotspot for large pelagics and reef residents alike. You can expect to encounter schools of trevallies, various shark species, and sea turtles patrolling the reef. Sea lions are also a regular presence, often interacting with divers in the shallower sections.

In the water column, large schools of fish move through the area, including various species of jacks. The biodiversity extends to a wide array of crustaceans, mollusks, and tropical fish that inhabit the coral structures.

For those interested in the smaller details, the reef supports a vast array of marine life including various crabs and other invertebrates that can be found amongst the reef flat and crevices.
