The Sea of Cortés is famous for its seasonal megafauna. Between February and March, you can encounter grey whales and whale sharks. During the same period, from February to September, various species of whales, including blue whales, humpback whales, fin whales, Bryde's whales, and orcas, are present in the region.

Pelagic encounters are a highlight for many divers. From February to September, you can observe mobula rays and other large pelagic fish. If you visit between October and January, you may have the chance to see striped marlin.
