This is Camotes Islands, not Mactan; the latter is useful mainly because its international airport is the usual gateway.

For a change of beach, Bakhaw Beach is about 2.4 miles away as the map measures it, or about 2.9 miles by car. Borromeo Beach is about 2.8 miles away, with a driving distance of roughly 4.4 miles, while Esperanza Beach is about 3.1 miles away and around 4.3 miles by car. La Rosa Cafe is about 4 miles away by car, and Pitos Sutokil is about 6 miles away by car. Plaza sa Sawang natural park is roughly 9 miles away by car.

The choice is straightforward: a garden-view villa for two when the room is mainly your base, or a sea-view villa when the outlook matters as much as the bed. The latter is the one to favour when you want more room for a longer stay or when four people are sharing. No need to pretend that every villa serves the same purpose; the view and available space change the decision.

Air conditioning is useful after a hot, salt-covered day, while the balcony or terrace gives you somewhere to sit outside without heading straight to the bar. Rooms have a private bathroom, wardrobe, seating area, desk, television and electric kettle. Some accommodation also comes with a bath, sea views and sofa beds, so check the individual villa details rather than assuming every room has the same layout.

Daily housekeeping keeps the practical side simple. The resort also offers room service, a minibar and breakfast in the room, which is handy when your legs have had enough activity for one day. The villas are non-smoking, and selected units are on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible.

Sunset Restaurant takes the most obvious route: locally sourced ingredients, local cooking and panoramic ocean views from its cliffside position. You can keep dinner on the property and watch the light change over the water rather than organising transport while hungry, which is often when plans become needlessly ambitious.

Breakfast is included in the accommodation formula, with Asian and American choices. Pancakes and fruit are part of the breakfast offering. The restaurant also works as a family-friendly option, with a wider menu described across seafood, German, Asian, international, European and American cooking.

There are two named places for drinks and small pauses. Bar Berlin focuses on signature cocktails, premium spirits and vintage wines; Horizon Brews handles artisan coffee and freshly baked pastries, making it the more natural morning stop. Poolside lunch snacks are also available around the infinity pool.

The infinity pool is the main piece of post-dive machinery here, with an ocean-facing deck, loungers and sun umbrellas. You can cool off, stretch out and let the horizon do the work for a while. A cliffside jacuzzi adds another place to sit when a full day of activity calls for less movement, not more.

The Wellness Spa offers massages, facials and body scrubs, with treatments using natural and locally sourced ingredients. Couples can book a couples massage, while foot and full-body massages are available for more targeted recovery. Manicure, pedicure and other beauty services are also part of the spa offer, alongside a relaxation area and wellness packages.

The journey is part of choosing Camotes. From Mactan-Cebu International Airport, allow around one and a half to two hours by road to Danao Port, followed by a ferry journey of about two hours to Consuelo Port. From there, the resort is reached by tricycle or habal-habal in roughly ten to fifteen minutes. An airport shuttle is available, and the resort can organise a private transfer; arrange this with the property before travelling.

Mactan-Cebu International Airport is about 30 miles away in straight-line distance, while the road journey to Danao Port and the ferry make the actual transfer considerably longer. That is not a quick airport hop, so build the crossing into your arrival and departure plans. Free private parking is available on site, with no reservation needed, and a tour desk and concierge can help with local arrangements.

Check-in runs from 14:00 to 21:00, with check-out between 11:30 and 12:00. Private check-in and check-out are available. Children of any age are welcome, and there is no minimum age for check-in; extra beds depend on the villa selected, while cots are not available. Pets are allowed on request, and parties or events are not permitted.

The resort's environmental work is built into everyday operations rather than presented as a badge. Solar panels support the energy supply, while wastewater is treated and purified on site through a sewage treatment system.
