Mares Shop

Located in Hulhumale, Mares Shop is a specialist hub for the Maldivian diving community. Rather than acting as a traditional recreational dive centre, it functions as a primary distributor and official service centre for Scuba Schools International (SSI).

With more than 12 years of established presence in the islands, the facility focuses on the technical side of the industry. It provides essential equipment, professional advice, and maintenance services to dive centres, resorts, and individual professionals throughout the Maldives.

The team at Mares Shop brings extensive technical expertise to the region, specialising in the distribution and servicing of diving and freediving kit. As an official SSI service centre, they are equipped to assist both local businesses and professionals with high-level technical requirements.

Beyond equipment, the centre provides specialised training in safety and rescue. This includes lifeguard training ranging from basic to advanced levels, as well as Emergency First Response courses.

The centre provides a structured range of training programmes. For those looking to enter the water, they offer swimming and freediving instruction, alongside mermaiding programmes.

Professional and safety-oriented certifications are also available, including lifeguard training at various levels and Emergency First Response. These courses are designed to build foundational water skills and advanced rescue capabilities.

As a dedicated equipment specialist, the shop offers a wide range of swimming and diving gear, including Seabob products. They operate as a service centre, meaning they provide in-house maintenance and technical repairs for your kit.
