Dive Mission You and Me

Dive Mission You and Me is located in Uthurumaafaru, within the Raa Atoll of the Maldives. The centre is positioned to provide access to some of the most iconic underwater landscapes the archipelago has to offer, characterised by expansive coral reefs and a high density of marine life.

Whether you are completing your first certification or are an experienced diver looking for your next destination, the centre caters to all levels of experience. The focus is on exploring the diverse ecosystems that make the Maldivian waters a premier destination for underwater exploration.

The centre is established to welcome divers of all experience levels, from those beginning their journey to seasoned professionals. The team is structured to support both introductory dives and more advanced underwater adventures.

The reefs surrounding the Raa Atoll are home to a vast array of schooling reef fish, including fusiliers (Caesio), anthias (Anthias), and bannerfish (Heniochus). You will frequently encounter larger species such as trevally, jacks (Carangidae), and various types of snappers, including blue-striped snappers and yellow snappers (Lutjanus). Large groups of batfish (Platax) and moorish idols are also common sights across the reef flats.

For those interested in larger pelagic species, the area offers encounters with manta rays (Mobula alfredi), whale sharks (Rhincodon typus), and various species of sharks. You may see grey reef sharks (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus), and even hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna lewini). Other notable visitors include eagle rays (Aetobatus) and various species of stingrays.

Marine turtles are a regular presence in these waters, with sightings of green turtles (Chelonia mydas) and hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata). You might also spot large groupers (Epinephelus), napoleon wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus), and various species of moray eels (Muraenidae) tucked into the reef structure.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants add significant detail to the dives, including nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae), and frogfish (Antennarius). The reef is also populated by porcelain crabs, spiny lobsters (Palinuridae), and various species of anemonefish living within sea anemones (Actiniaria). The hard coral (Scleractinia) and soft coral (Alcyonacea) structures provide the essential habitat for this entire ecosystem.
