Subvision Plongee

Subvision Plongée is situated in the Golfe Juan marina, a prime location on the Côte d'Azur that provides easy access to the diverse underwater topography of the region. The centre has established itself as a versatile hub for both recreational and technical diving, operating year-round from its base at the Vieux Port.

Whether you are looking for a simple underwater walk or advanced training in decompression diving, the centre's infrastructure is designed to support a wide range of abilities. Their presence in the area is defined by a dual approach: providing accessible, enjoyable boat dives for enthusiasts while maintaining the high standards required for professional and technical diver training.

The team is composed of highly qualified professionals, including instructors with DEJEPS and MF2 credentials. Notable members include Caroline Celle, an SSI Instructor Trainer and expert in marine ecology, and Régis Beyssac, who brings technical expertise as a Mares and Aqualung service manager. Karim Alaoui and Martin Bérard also round out a staff capable of guiding divers through complex environments.

Instruction is delivered in French, English, and German, making the centre accessible to an international community. The staff's background in professional diving and marine biology ensures that training goes beyond basic skills, often incorporating a deep understanding of the local ecosystem.

The centre is affiliated with several major organisations, including SSI, CMAS, FFESSM, and FSGT, allowing them to facilitate a broad spectrum of international and national certifications.

The training programme is extensive, covering the entire progression from Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver through to professional levels such as Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Instructor Examination. They offer a full suite of CMAS levels, from Niveau 1 through to Niveau 4.

Specialised courses are a core part of their curriculum, including Nitrox, Deep Diver, Wreck, and Night and Limited Visibility diving. For those looking to refine their skills, they offer modules in Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation/Orientation, and Underwater Photography.

Technical training is also a significant focus, with courses available for Decompression diving, Dry Suit usage, and rebreather operations. The centre also provides professional development pathways, including the ITC and various instructor-level examinations.

The centre operates two distinct vessels to suit different diving needs. Le Souvenez-Vous is a heritage trawler with a capacity for 38 divers, ideal for longer excursions and full-day trips to the Îles de Lérins. This boat is equipped with an onboard compressor and an annexe, and provides collation for divers during their trips.

For more rapid access to local sites, the centre also utilises a semi-rigid boat with a capacity of 10 divers. This vessel is well-suited for shorter outings or more agile movements around the bay.

The shore-based facilities include a shop that serves as a partner for Mares, offering both retail products and equipment servicing. For divers opting to hire kit, the centre provides a full range of equipment including regulators, BCDs, computers, and wetsuits, alongside fins, masks, and snorkels.

On-site gas services include air and Nitrox. The centre is also equipped to support technical divers, with rebreather capabilities and specialised training support available.

The marine life in the Golfe Juan is diverse, with many species inhabiting the rocky reefs and seagrass meadows. You can expect to encounter a variety of fish, including rays and turtles, alongside various species of coral.

Among the more specialised residents, you may spot sea hares and a range of different fish species navigating the terrain. The presence of sharks and rays adds to the interest for divers exploring the deeper sections of the bay.

For those with an eye for detail, the area supports various macro life and fixed organisms, including different types of coral that provide essential habitats for the local ecosystem.
