Passe de Tiva, Tahaa: Exploring Coral Walls and Canyons

Dropping into Passe de Tiva, you immediately encounter a significant outer reef drop-off on the ocean side of the lagoon entrance. This wall is covered in vibrant yellow corals, creating a striking visual as you begin your descent. The light filters through the water, illuminating the hard and soft corals that cling to the wall, which plunges downwards, teeming with life. This initial section offers numerous nooks and crannies to explore for smaller reef inhabitants, while also providing an expansive view into the open blue.

The initial exploration of this coral-covered drop-off serves as the gateway to the site's distinct topographical features. After traversing this beautiful wall, the dive profile shifts as you begin a gradual ascent.
