Sunrise Garden Beach Resort is a large Hurghada resort built for days that do not need much organising. You have the Red Sea, a private beach area, several pools, plenty of places to eat and a spa when your shoulders have had enough of carrying cylinders. It is a practical base for divers who want the convenience of an all-inclusive stay without spending every evening searching for dinner.

The atmosphere is broad rather than boutique: beach, gardens, pools, bars, sport and evening entertainment all sit within the same resort. Families have a water park, children’s play areas and a kids’ pool, while couples can make use of the beach, the spa, the bars and the choice of restaurants. The hotel’s website is available in English, German and Russian, so those customer groups are clearly catered for online.

The resort is in Hurghada on the Red Sea coast, at KM 17 on the Hurghada–Safaga Road. It sits directly on the beachfront with a private beach area, so the sea is part of the property rather than something you reach by taxi. Solano Beach is about 0.9 miles away, while Alladin / Jasmine Beach Marina is roughly 1 mile away.

You are outside central Hurghada rather than in the middle of town. Sand City Hurghada is around 0.8 miles away, Hurghada Grand Aquarium about 2.5 miles away and Hurghada Downtown, around Saqqala Square, roughly 9 miles away. The nearest airport is Hurghada International Airport, with the road journey described as a short transfer rather than an expedition.

A few places to eat and drink sit beyond the resort, including The Terrace Shisha Lounge nearby and several restaurants within roughly 1.5 miles. In practical terms, though, the all-inclusive setup means you can stay on site when you want food, a drink and a horizontal position without adding an evening outing to the day’s programme.

The rooms are arranged for straightforward recovery: air conditioning, a minibar, satellite television and a balcony or terrace. Views vary between the gardens, pools and sea, so the sensible choice depends on what you want to see first when you draw the curtains. A partial sea view gives you a glimpse of the Red Sea without requiring the highest category, while a beach-front room puts the coastal setting closer to hand.

For a couple, the superior rooms and Deluxe Double Room keep things simple, with a large or extra-large double bed and outdoor space for sitting down with a drink. The Family Room with Bunk Bed is the more obvious fit when children need their own sleeping arrangement. If you want more breathing room between wet kit, day clothes and the people you travelled with, the Family Suite or Junior Suite gives you a larger layout than the standard room categories.

The Family Suite is also the practical family choice when separate beds matter more than a sea view. At the other end of the scale, the Royal Villa is designed for a much larger group and includes five bathrooms, which is a useful detail when several people are trying to leave for breakfast at once. Daily housekeeping, a wardrobe, towels, toiletries and a hairdryer cover the ordinary end-of-day business. There is also room service, for the evenings when the buffet feels like a longer walk than it really is.

The all-inclusive formula gives you a choice of six restaurants rather than one large dining room doing every job. Heliodoro Restaurant handles breakfast, lunch and dinner with international cuisine, including a continental buffet breakfast. Its dress code is casual, and meal times change between summer and winter. That matters if you are trying to get fed before an early departure or return hungry after a full day out.

The other restaurants give the evenings a little more direction: Basilico serves Italian food, Manzoku Asian cuisine, Manohar Indian dishes, Yades Greek food and Felucca seafood. You can therefore move from familiar pasta to something more specific without leaving the resort. The Chiringuito Bar also combines drinks and snacks for the occasions when a full meal is too ambitious but waiting until dinner is clearly a bad plan.

There are eight named bars across the property. Sun Ray Lobby Bar and The Boulevard Bar cover the indoor side, while Island Pool Bar and SUNRISE Pool Bar keep drinks close to the water. Oasis Beach Bar and Chiringuito Bar serve the beach area, Yades Bar adds another drinks stop, and Yazol Shisha Café is the place for shisha. In short, you are not dependent on one bar at the end of the evening.

Three swimming pools, a private beach and pool and beach towels give you the basic recipe for a day with no timetable. If the idea of doing absolutely nothing begins to itch, the resort adds a water park with eight slides and a children’s play zone with slides adapted for younger children. Sun loungers and umbrellas make the beach or poolside the obvious places to let the day flatten out.

The more energetic options include floodlit tennis courts, a full-sized football pitch, beach volleyball, archery, horse riding, table tennis, darts, billiards and mini golf. There is also a fitness centre with weight-training equipment, fitness classes and personal trainers available on request. Aerobics and yoga classes are listed among the wellness activities, so you can choose movement that does not involve carrying a dive bag.

Horas Spa is the quieter counterweight. Treatments include massage, body treatments, foot reflexology, hot stones, Shiatsu, traditional Thai massage, hammam rituals and several treatments designed for couples. The spa also offers beauty services, a sauna, a hot tub and a hammam. Live music, performances, themed dinner nights, evening entertainment, karaoke and a nightclub with DJ provide the louder end of the evening, should you still have the energy.

Check-in starts from 14:00 and check-out runs until 12:00. The front desk operates around the clock, with express check-in and check-out, luggage storage, concierge service, a tour desk, currency exchange and an ATM on site. That gives you useful options around travel days, particularly if your room is not ready when you arrive or you have time to fill before leaving.

Wi-Fi is free in the public areas. Parking is available on site without reservation, and valet parking is also listed. A shuttle service operates from the property; arrange the relevant journey with the hotel before travelling rather than assuming it covers every route. Hurghada International Airport is the nearest airport, and the resort’s road access is via the Hurghada–Safaga Road.

Children of any age are welcome. Cots can be requested for children aged from birth to two years, while extra beds are not available. There is no age requirement for check-in, pets are not allowed and cash is accepted as a payment method. The resort also has facilities for disabled guests, non-smoking rooms and a barber and beauty shop.
