Master Diving Center

Master Diving Center is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort situated on the beachfront of the Serenity Makadi hotel in Egypt. Having operated in the region for over ten years, the centre has established itself as a reliable hub for both recreational divers and those looking to progress through their professional training.

The team is composed of experienced PADI instructors and Dive Masters who manage everything from beginner introductions to advanced professional training. The atmosphere is designed to be relaxed and safe, catering to divers of all experience levels.

For those not staying at the hotel, the centre provides a complimentary shuttle service from Hurghada to the site. All boat excursions include transfers, ensuring a seamless transition from the shore to the dive boat.

The centre provides a comprehensive range of PADI training, starting from Bubblemaker and Junior Open Water Diver for younger swimmers through to the full Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

Specialised training is extensive, covering PADI Deep Diver Specialty, PADI Drift Diver Specialty, PADI Night Diver Specialty, PADI Wreck Diver Specialty, and PADI Sidemount Diver. For those looking to advance their career, the centre offers the PADI Divemaster course and PADI Rescue Diver course, alongside Emergency First Response training.

Enriched Air Nitrox training is also available, including the PADI Enriched Air Diver specialty and Nitrox theory. For those interested in the creative side, a Digital Underwater Photographer specialty is offered.

Daily boat excursions depart from the Hurghada marina at Public Beach No. 9. These trips take you to the most significant sites in the Red Sea, including historical wrecks and reef systems.

For a more immersive experience, the centre operates the Exocet, a luxury liveaboard. The cabins on the Exocet are air-conditioned and feature private en-suite facilities with showers and toilets, along with mini-fridges. The upper deck is equipped with a jacuzzi for relaxing between dives.

The shore base is well-equipped with a dedicated classroom and a spacious equipment room featuring individual lockers. A freshwater pool is available on-site for rinsing your kit after a dive.

Full rental sets are available, including BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, masks, fins, snorkels, and dive computers. You can also hire torches for night diving and underwater cameras to document your excursions.

The local reefs are teeming with life, including various species of Angelfish (Pomacanthidae), Butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and Surgeonfish (Acanthuridae). You will often see Parrotfish (Calotomus), Triggerfish (Balistidae), and Titan triggerfish (Balistoides viridescens) patrolling the coral structures.

Large groupers (Epinephelinae) and Goliath grouper (Epinephelus itajara) are frequently seen near the ledges, alongside various species of Snappers, Jacks (Carangidae), and Barracuda (Sphyraena). For those watching the open water, Tuna (Thunnus) and various Sharks (Selachimorpha) may pass by.

The seabed is home to many interesting creatures, such as blue-spotted rays, Southern stingray (Hypanus americanus), and feather tail stingrays. You may also encounter Crocodilefish (Cymbacephalus beauforti) or Scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae) camouflaged against the reef.

Macro enthusiasts can look for Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), red octopuses, and various species of eels (Anguilliformes). Keep an eye out for the smaller details like hooded cuttlefish, finned squids, and bigfin reef squids.

The centre operates daily from early morning until the evening, allowing for a wide range of dive timings. The house reef provides the flexibility for short, local dives or extended night sessions.
