Fang Ming Wreck, Sea of Cortez: an artificial reef for all levels

Diving the Fang Ming Wreck takes you into a unique underwater landscape where human engineering meets natural marine colonization. The site comprises two impressive Chinese metal ships, the 56-meter Fang Ming and the smaller 36-meter Lapas03, which were intentionally sunk near Isla Ballena in 1999 to create an artificial reef. As you descend, the profiles of these vessels become clearer at 21 metres, their structures providing an immediate sense of scale and history beneath the surface of the Sea of Cortez.
