From the Sundiver boat dock, you can head out to some of the most iconic underwater environments in Florida. Whether you are looking to explore complex wreck structures or drift along vibrant reef flats, the centre's local knowledge is evident in every trip.

As a PADI 5 Star dive centre, BlueWater Divers maintains high standards for both training and guided excursions. The team is managed by the owners, who bring three decades of local expertise to the operation. This long-standing presence in Key Largo means they understand the nuances of the local currents and site conditions intimately.

The centre is designed for divers who value a personalised approach. With a maximum of six divers per boat, you can expect a more focused environment than the larger commercial operations. All instruction and guidance are conducted in English.

BlueWater Divers offers a full range of PADI training programmes for all experience levels. For those new to the water, they provide Discover Scuba Diving and the Open Water Diver course.

For more experienced divers, the centre facilitates Advanced Diver and Rescue Diver certifications. They also offer the PADI Refresh programme, which is ideal if you have a gap in your diving history and want to get your buoyancy and skills back to a sharp standard.

The centre operates custom dive boats that are inspected by the US Coast Guard, ensuring a high standard of safety and reliability. These vessels are designed for comfort, featuring shaded seating areas to protect you from the sun during the journey.

On board, you will find amenities including bottled water, fresh fruit, and snacks to keep your energy levels up between dives. The boats are also equipped with freshwater showers and dedicated storage space for your cylinders. For those bringing camera gear, there are rinsing stations available both on the dock and on the boat.

The shore-based facilities are designed to make the transition from land to water as smooth as possible. You will find dedicated rinsing stations for your camera equipment and gear on the quay. There is also ample storage space available for your cylinders.

Full kit hire is available upon request, so it is worth confirming your requirements when making your reservation. Nitrox is available on-site to support divers looking to optimise their nitrogen loading during reef or wreck explorations.

The reefs are teeming with life, featuring vibrant corals and sponges that provide a home for countless species. You will regularly see large schools of snapper (Lutjanidae), colourful parrotfish (Calotomus), and various species of tropical fish. Look closely at the reef structure to find groupers (Epinephelinae), including Nassau groupers and black groupers (Epinephelinae), often stationed near ledges.

In the open water and along the sandy patches, you are likely to encounter rays (Batoidea), including southern stingrays (Hypanus americanus) and spotted eagle rays (Aetobatus narinari). Sea turtles (Cheloniidae) are a common sight, with hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata) and loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) frequently patrolling the area.

For those interested in larger predators, the area hosts reef sharks (Carcharhinus perezi) and occasional bull sharks. You may also spot barracuda (Sphyraena) and amberjack (Seriola) cruising through the water column. Macro life enthusiasts can look for spiny lobster (Palinuridae), various species of shrimp (Caridea), and moray eels (Muraenidae) tucked into the crevices of the reef.

Diving in this area can involve occasional currents when venturing into the open sea. These conditions are typical for the region and are managed by the guides during your excursion.

Visibility is generally good, typically ranging between 12 and 24 metres. The water temperatures remain warm throughout the year, generally staying within the 24 to 25°C range.
