Located on the island of Koh Phi Phi, PKT Diving operates within a dedicated Marine Conservation area. The surrounding waters are known for their healthy coral reefs and a diverse range of marine life, making it a significant destination for both recreational divers and those pursuing professional qualifications.

Whether you are arriving via a speedboat or ferry from Krabi or Phuket, the centre provides a gateway to the underwater landscape of the Andaman Sea. The area offers a mix of reef topography and wreck diving, catering to a wide spectrum of experience levels.

As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre, PKT Diving has been established for over 15 years. The team consists of experienced, multilingual PADI Divemasters and Instructors who manage all aspects of training and guided excursions.

The centre maintains a high standard of safety and professional instruction, specifically limiting group sizes to a maximum of four divers per guide. This ensures that every diver receives the necessary attention during both training courses and exploration dives.

Beyond recreational diving, the centre is a hub for professional progression. They host Divemaster and Instructor Development Courses (IDC), led by award-winning course directors.

PKT Diving offers a comprehensive curriculum of PADI courses. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Open Water Diver course, while those looking to expand their skills can enrol in the Advanced Open Water Diver, Deep Diver, or Wreck Diver courses.

For divers focused on technical or specialized skills, the centre provides Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) Diver, Self-Reliant Diver, and Digital Underwater Photography courses. The professional pathway is also fully supported, covering everything from the Rescue Diver course to Divemaster and full Instructor Development programmes.

The centre provides a full range of high-quality rental kit for those not travelling with their own equipment. This includes wetsuits, regulators, and fins to ensure you are fully equipped for the local conditions.

Nitrox is available for use, supporting divers looking to extend their bottom time on multi-dive days. On board, the centre provides delicious meals, fresh fruit, coffee, and water to keep you energised between dives.

The reefs are teeming with a vast array of tropical fish and reef inhabitants. You will regularly encounter large schools of fish, including snappers, fusiliers (Caesio), and various species of grouper (Epinephelus). Larger pelagics such as blacktip reef sharks (Carcharhinus melanopterus), eagle rays, and occasionally manta rays or whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) add to the excitement of the dives.

The hard coral (Scleractinia) and soft coral (Alcyonacea) environments provide the essential structure for much of the local fauna. Within these gardens, you can find anemonefish, butterflyfish, and various species of damselfish (Pomacentridae), alongside colourful sea fans (Gorgoniidae).

For those with an eye for macro life, the area is exceptional. You can find a variety of nudibranchs, ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), and various species of shrimp and crabs (Brachyura). The crevices and reef structures also host octopuses (Octopus vulgaris), cuttlefish (Sepiidae), and various scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae) or stonefish (Synanceia).

The diving conditions in the Koh Phi Phi area are excellent year-round. The high season typically runs from November to April, while the low season from April to November may see occasional showers followed by clear skies.

Local currents are generally not very strong, making the area accessible for a wide range of divers. Visibility typically ranges between 15 and 30 metres.
