The tone is practical rather than grand. Rooms come with air conditioning, private bathrooms, balconies and sea views, while the restaurant and bar mean you can settle in without immediately heading back out. The website is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian and Thai, which makes planning your stay simple even though the hotel team’s spoken languages are not listed.

At 17/18 Moo 1 on Sairee Beach, the resort sits directly on the seafront in Koh Tao, Thailand. You can step from the property onto the beach without crossing a road or waiting for a shuttle. Sairee Beach itself is about 150 metres away, while Mae Haad Beach is roughly 1 mile from the resort.

The setting also gives you plenty of choice once the fins are hung up. Books Shop, Diza Bar, Coffee Shop & Nitro by the Beer Masons, Tummy Yummy Bistro and The Blue Chair are all within a short walk. Mango Bay and Koh Nang Yuan Beach are around 1.5 miles away, with Mao Bay Beach a little farther by road.

Koh Tao has no airport, so the journey includes a boat connection. Samui International Airport is about 41 miles away by the listed route, and Chumphon Airport is about 52 miles away. The island is reached by ferry or catamaran from the Thai mainland or nearby islands.

For two, the Double Room with Balcony is the natural choice: a super-king bed, private balcony and sea view give you somewhere to sit with a drink while the legs recover from the day. It is a compact room rather than a place to spread out every possession you packed, so it works best when you travel light or keep your kit sensibly organised.

Travelling with one child or as a small group? The Standard Triple Room is the useful option, with a super-king bed and a single bed. It is on the ground floor, which matters in a property with many stairs. The Double Room with Balcony is on an upper floor and is reached by stairs only, so choose the room category with the building’s layout in mind rather than discovering the detail with a suitcase in hand.

Air conditioning is welcome after heat, salt and a full day outside. Tiled floors, a wardrobe, flat-screen TV, electric kettle, towels, shower and hairdryer cover the basics, while free WiFi is available throughout the property. Outside noise, nightlife and sound from neighbouring rooms can carry, so light sleepers may want to pack earplugs. Cots and extra beds are not available.

The on-site restaurant serves Moroccan and Thai dishes, giving you something more interesting than the usual single-track resort menu. It is family-friendly, and special-diet menus can be arranged on request. That makes the dining room useful when you have surfaced hungry and would rather eat before the post-dive shower than walk the length of Sairee Beach.

There is one bar on the property, alongside the restaurant. You can therefore keep the evening close to the room, the sea and the shortest possible route to bed. A BBQ is also available on site, and packed lunches can be prepared for days when your schedule starts before a proper meal.

Breakfast and the board arrangement are not part of the stated offer, so check what your booking includes before assuming the first meal of the day is covered. Fruits and wine or champagne are available as additional food-and-drink options.

The beach is the main feature here, and it requires no planning at all: walk out of the resort and you are there. The sun terrace gives you a place to dry off, read or simply let the afternoon pass without turning recovery into another activity. For a gentler session in the water, snorkelling is available.

Fishing can be arranged off site, offering a change of pace when you want to stay on the island but do something other than dive, eat or sit still. The nearby beach bars, cafés and restaurants add more options within walking distance, so a non-diving companion does not need a daily transport plan to find somewhere to go.

This is a modest set-up rather than an activity-heavy resort. Its strength is the ease of moving between beach, terrace, food and room; the appeal is less about filling every hour and more about leaving a few of them empty.

Plan the arrival around the ferry. Koh Tao has no airport, and the fastest island connection is a catamaran from Chumphon, with a longer ferry option from Surat Thani. Arrange the final transport with the resort before travelling, particularly if your boat arrives outside the property’s check-in window.

Check-in runs from 13:30 to 19:30, and you need photo identification and a credit card at arrival. Check-out is from 08:30 to 10:30. Cash is an accepted payment method, while cancellation and prepayment conditions depend on the accommodation selected. Pets are not allowed.

Free private parking is available on site without a reservation, which is useful if you are arriving overland before taking the boat. WiFi is free throughout the property, although connection quality can be inconsistent. Dry cleaning is available as a paid service, and many stairs run through the resort, with only the Standard Triple Room placed on the ground floor.
