Love Diving Phuket

Located in the heart of Phuket, Love Diving Phuket has been a staple of the local diving community since 2010. As a PADI IDC Centre, they provide a high level of training that spans the entire spectrum of scuba diving, from your very first breath underwater to professional instructor qualifications.

The centre operates across three strategic locations: a main hub in Patong on Bangla Road, a second site at Paradise Beach, and a third in Chalong near the pier. This setup allows for easy access to various dive types, ranging from sheltered reef flats to deep-water offshore excursions.

The team is composed of experienced PADI instructors who specialise in a wide array of disciplines. Because they are an IDC Centre, they are equipped to train the next generation of divers and professionals, including Divemasters and Instructors.

Instruction is delivered in small groups to ensure safety and personalised attention. Whether you are completing a basic Open Water Diver course or pursuing advanced technical training, the focus remains on professional standards and practical skill application.

The training catalogue is extensive, starting with Discover Scuba Diving and the PADI Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses. They offer a variety of specialty courses including Nitrox, Deep Diver, Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Night Diver.

For those looking to progress into technical diving, the centre provides PADI Tec 40, Tec 45, and Tec 50 programmes, as well as Tec Sidemount. Professional training is also a core part of their identity, offering the full path from Divemaster through to the Instructor Development Course (IDC).

The centre organises daily excursions to the islands, including speedboat trips for shorter days that combine diving with snorkelling. For those looking to head further north to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and Richelieu Rock, they organise dedicated dive cruises.

On these trips, you will be looked after with breakfast, a buffet lunch, snacks, and various drinks including tea, coffee, water, and sodas. Nitrox is available for those who require it during their excursions.

Full equipment hire is available for all courses and tours, covering everything from regulators to wetsuits. For night dives, torches are provided as part of the service.

Nitrox is available on-site for divers looking to extend their bottom time. While dive computers are available for hire, they are treated as a separate item from the standard kit package.

The reefs are teeming with life, from large pelagics to colourful reef fish. You can expect to see various species of sharks, including Blacktip reef sharks, Grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), and Whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus), alongside turtles and rays such as Eagle ray (Aetobatus) and Manta ray (Mobula alfredi).

In the coral gardens, you will find a vast array of life including Angelfish (Pomacanthidae), Butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and various species of Snapper (Lutjanus). The walls and reef structures are decorated with Soft coral (Alcyonacea) and hard corals, providing a home for Damselfish (Pomacentridae), Fusilier (Caesio), and Surgeonfish (Acanthuridae).

For macro enthusiasts, the area offers incredible treasures. Keep an eye out for Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), Ornate ghost pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus), and various species of Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda). You may also encounter Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), Cuttlefish (Sepiidae), and various species of shrimp and crab in the smaller crevices.

Diving in the Similan Islands and other northern Andaman sites is best experienced between November and April. During this period, the conditions are most favourable for liveaboard cruises.

At sites like the King Cruiser Wreck, Shark Point, and Anemone Reef, currents can become strong. These sites can offer very exciting diving for experienced divers but require careful management of buoyancy and positioning.
