SAHERA HOTEL Boutique is a small, family-run address in Telde, with eleven rooms and a modern design shaped around the original spirit of an old single-family house. For a diving trip, that translates into a practical base with a bit of character. Telde is the actual setting here, on Gran Canaria’s east side rather than in the resort belt of the south. The hotel stands beside the ring road, close to the city’s newer sports facilities, the San Gregorio urban park and its shopping area. That gives you straightforward access by car and everyday services nearby, instead of leaving you marooned in a purpose-built holiday strip.

The sea is not outside the front door. Melenara Beach, Playa de las Salinetas and Playa del Hombre are around 3.8 miles away by road, with Melenara and Playa de las Salinetas among the closest coastal options. San Borondón Beach is about 3.3 miles by car. This is a city base for reaching the water, not a beach hotel where you can wander downstairs in fins.

You are also around 15 minutes by car from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Parque Arnao is about 0.9 miles on foot, while the nearby cafés and restaurants around Telde give you options for a coffee, a quick meal or a change of scenery without turning every evening into an expedition.

The rooms are designed for single and double occupancy, with extra-bed options in selected categories. If you are travelling as a pair and prefer separate beds, the twin-room layout is the straightforward choice; if three people are sharing, choose the category arranged with three single beds rather than trying to negotiate a nightly game of mattress Tetris.

Air conditioning matters on a warm island after a day outdoors, while soundproofing and soundproof rooms are useful when you are ready for sleep rather than another conversation through the wall. Rooms have private bathrooms with showers, towels, toiletries and hairdryers, plus wardrobes, parquet flooring and mosquito nets. City views are part of the picture, so the outlook is urban rather than over the Atlantic.
