The waters around Tenerife are home to a diverse array of large pelagics and reef species. You can regularly encounter sea turtles (Cheloniidae), including green turtles (Chelonia mydas) and loggerhead turtles, often cruising the reefs. Schools of fish are a constant presence, with sightings of barracuda, snapper (Lutjanus), and various species of wrasse (Labridae) and damselfish (Pomacentridae).

In the deeper sections or during drift dives, you may spot larger inhabitants such as rays (Batoidea), including stingrays, devil rays, and bull rays. The area is also known for sightings of electric rays and larger oceanic rays. More predatory species like the moray eel (Muraenidae) and various groupers (Epinephelus) are frequently found patrolling the rocky structures and ledges.
