Las Eras, Tenerife: Wall Dives and Volcanic Formations

Las Eras sits on the east coast of Tenerife, a dive site easily accessed from the black sand beach within a naturally protected bay. The topography here is distinctly volcanic, with lava formations creating a complex underwater landscape. As you descend, the immediate area near the shore transitions into a significant wall that drops away, offering varied dive profiles. This structure forms numerous ledges and crevices, providing shelter and hunting grounds for resident species, while the bay’s protection often buffers the more exposed sections from strong surge.
