Scubadivepro Tenerife is situated in Tabaiba, a prime location for divers looking to explore the volcanic coastline of the Canary Islands. The centre is positioned directly on the seafront, placing you just a short distance from the Pecio El Peñón artificial reef.

This area is known for its diverse underwater topography, ranging from shallow reef flats to impressive volcanic walls and sheltered caves. Whether you are looking for your first breath underwater or are an experienced diver seeking wreck or night diving, the local sites offer a variety of environments.

The team is composed of SSI certified instructors, each bringing more than 10 years of experience to the water. They focus on a philosophy of responsible and sustainable diving, ensuring that the local marine ecosystems are respected during every excursion.

The centre is multilingual, with staff able to communicate in Spanish, English, and German. This makes coordinating dives and technical briefings straightforward for international divers visiting the island.

As an SSI affiliated centre, Scubadivepro offers a complete progression of training. For those starting their journey, they provide the Basic Diver and Open Water Diver courses.

Advanced divers can specialise in several areas, including the Advanced Open Water, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Night Diver courses. The centre also facilitates professional training for those aiming for Divemaster or Assistant Instructor levels, as well as the Rescue Diver certification.

The volcanic reefs and walls are home to a variety of larger species. You can regularly encounter sea turtles, rays, and large schools of fish including barracuda, amberjack, and white seabream. Groupers and moray eels are often found patrolling the rocky crevices.

For those interested in smaller encounters, the area is excellent for macro photography. Look out for nudibranchs, seahorses, octopuses, and cuttlefish hiding among the reef structures.

The seabed and reef flats are also populated by parrotfish, trumpetfish, and garden eels. In certain areas, you may spot angelsharks or even mantas passing through the deeper sections of the water.

The waters around Tenerife are generally calm and protected from strong currents, particularly at sites like Abades and Tabaiba. This makes the area highly suitable for training and photography.

While the area can be enjoyed year-round, the period from May to October is often cited as a prime time for exploration. Divers should follow standard safety protocols regarding flying and altitude changes after deep or multi-dive excursions.
