Scubanana is situated in the heart of Radazul, a location widely regarded as one of the premier diving destinations in Tenerife. The bay offers a protected environment with excellent conditions that allow for year-round diving, making it accessible for those just starting their journey and for seasoned divers seeking variety.

The area is defined by its dramatic volcanic geology, featuring everything from shallow sandy plains to impressive underwater arches and caves. Whether you are looking to explore a well-preserved wreck or navigate through a volcanic tube, the proximity of these sites to the centre makes for efficient and rewarding diving days.

The team is composed of experienced PADI professionals, including Master Instructors and Multi-Speciality Divers. The staff includes Laura Sanchez, Denis Schott, Pauline Bosbach, Ryan Rosario, Sergio del Val, and Cedric Rode, ensuring a high level of expertise across a wide range of disciplines, including adaptive diving and technical training.

Instruction is provided in English, German, Spanish, and Dutch, making it easy to communicate technical details and safety protocols. The centre also manages administrative and customer service needs through Denise Gomez, ensuring the logistics of your trip are handled professionally.

Beyond standard recreational diving, the centre is committed to marine conservation, actively participating in the protection of angel sharks and supporting AWARE projects. This environmental focus extends to their educational offerings, including courses on shark conservation and debris removal.

As a PADI 5 Star centre, Scubanana offers a comprehensive curriculum ranging from the initial Open Water Diver course to professional levels such as Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Scuba Instructor. They also cater to those looking to specialise, with courses in Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Night Diver.

Technical training is a significant part of their offering, with specific programmes for TEC40, TEC45, and TEC50, alongside Sidemount Diving and Drysuit Diving. For those interested in propulsion or photography, they provide PADI DPV Diver and Digital Underwater Photographer courses.

Specialist training is also available for adaptive divers and those pursuing conservation-led specialties, such as AWARE Shark Conservation and AWARE Dive Against Debris. They also offer Peak Performance Buoyancy and EFR - Emergency First Responder training to refine core skills.

For those not travelling with their own kit, a full range of equipment is available for hire, including wetsuits, fins, and masks. Divers can also rent a complete scuba set, which includes the cylinder and weights, or opt for individual items such as a diving computer.

The marine life in Radazul is diverse, with much to see along the rocky walls and basaltic formations. You can encounter various species including Moray eel (Muraenidae), Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), and several types of rays such as Atlantic stingrays (Hypanus americanus). Schools of fish, including Barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) and various snapper and grouper, are common sights.

Macro enthusiasts will find plenty to observe, from Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) and various sea slugs to the delicate structures of Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda). The rocky crevices often hide Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), crabs, and various species of shrimp.

The area is also known for its larger inhabitants. You may spot turtles, including the Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), and various species of rays. In the shallower waters, particularly at night, the area is a known habitat for the Angelshark (Squatina).

Diving in the Radazul area is possible year-round due to the sheltered nature of the bay. While the bay is generally calm, moderate currents can occur, particularly within the Radazul Bay area.

Conditions vary depending on the specific site; for example, some volcanic tubes and deep walls may require more experience to navigate safely compared to the sandy bottom dives in the bay.
