After several days of carrying kit, climbing ladders and pretending your back is perfectly fine, that is a fairly sensible use of an afternoon.

Massages and beauty treatments are available, including full-body, back, neck, foot, head, hand and couples massages. The spa is for guests aged 16 and over and carries an additional charge, so it belongs in the booking calculation rather than the category of facilities you assume are included.

If sitting still is not your strongest skill, the hotel gym is free for staying guests and opens daily from 7:00 to 22:00. A hot tub, sun terrace and outdoor furniture cover the simpler version of relaxation, while walking tours, local-culture tours and themed dinner nights provide organised ways to spend time away from the water.

Tenerife North–Ciudad de La Laguna Airport is about 1.4 miles from the hotel, with the airport reachable by car in around three minutes. Tenerife South Airport is much farther away, at about 38 miles by road and around 41 minutes by car. A shuttle service is available, and car hire can be arranged through the hotel.

Check-in starts at 14:00. You need to provide photographic identification and a credit card on arrival, and the hotel asks you to share your expected arrival time in advance. Check-out runs from 01:00 to 12:00, which is useful if your departure does not fit neatly into the usual morning routine.
