Blue Corals Dive

Blue Corals Dive is a PADI Premium Dive Centre situated in Havelock, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Based at Beach No. 3 in Govind Nagar, the centre provides access to some of the most diverse marine environments in the archipelago, from shallow reef flats to deep-sea pinnacles.

For those looking to specialise, the centre provides PADI Deep Diver Specialty and Preck Diver courses, as well as Wreck Diver training. Professional development is also available for those aiming to advance their careers in diving.

The centre provides a full range of equipment for hire, ensuring you have everything required for your dives. All kit is maintained in as-new condition to ensure reliability and comfort underwater.

For those looking to extend their experience, the centre also facilitates night dives. They offer a service where photos and videos from your dives are shared via a cloud link, so remember to bring an Android phone or a USB drive with 3-4 GB of available space.

The reefs are home to a vast array of colourful fish, including Humphead parrotfish (Bolbometopon), various species of Snapper (Lutjanus), and large schools of Fusilier (Caesio). You will frequently encounter Groupers (Epinephelus), Trevally, and many species of reef fish such as Butterflyfish (Chaetodon) and Damselfish (Pomacentridae).

Large pelagics are a major draw for the area, with Manta ray (Mobula alfredi), Eagle ray (Aetobatus), and various species of Shark (Selachimorpha) including Whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus) and Blacktip sharks being regularly sighted. Divers may also see Tuna (Thunnus), Barracuda, and large schools of Mackerel.

For those interested in macro life, the sites offer plenty of variety, including Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda), and various Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani). You can also find many crustaceans, such as Lobster (Homaridae), Crab (Brachyura), and various species of Shrimp (Caridea).

The seabed and reef structures are beautifully decorated with hard corals (Scleractinia), Gorgonian sea fans (Gorgoniidae), and large barrel sponges. Sea anemones (Actiniaria) and various species of soft coral provide essential habitats for the resident marine life.

Diving conditions in the area vary by site. Some locations, such as Dixons Pinnacle and Jackson Bar, are known for moderate to strong currents, while others like the Nursery offer much calmer conditions. Some sites may also experience thermoclines.

Seasonal accessibility is generally best between October and May, when the conditions are most favourable for diving in the Andaman Islands.
